It was in the 1980s that he started his career in the Hip-hop scene, most of his hit songs were recorded in the same decade. Walters is best known for his voice and unique British accent in the Hip-hop genre. His music has been sampled frequently by other artists; many of these songs have gone on to make hits such as “Creep” by R&B band TLC which was sampled from “Hey Young World”. Walter rose to stardom in a Zeitgeist known to Hip-hop fans as ‘Golden age hip hop’.
